Kaltura Third Party Cookies Issues

When attempting to view Kaltura content in Canvas, you may receive an error message about third-party cookies being blocked. To access Kaltura videos from Canvas, ensure your web browser is set to accept third-party cookies.
Canvas Message
Occasionally, users in Canvas receive an error message when attempting to access embedded Kaltura media. The message states: "It seems your browser is blocking 3rd party session cookies, which are required for the Kaltura application. To resolve this issue, please update your settings to allow third-party cookies."
Google Chrome
Allow all third-party cookies under Chrome's advanced settings.
- Open Chrome.
- Navigate to "Settings."
- Select "Privacy and security."
- Click on "Third party cookies."
- Select "Allow third-party cookies."
Firefox
Allow all third-party cookies under Firefox settings.
- Open Firefox.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Select "Privacy and Security" from the sidebar menu.
- Click "Manage Exceptions..."
- Type "canvas.tcnj.edu" in the "Address of website" bar.
- Click "Add Exception."
- Click "Save Changes."
Safari Web Browser
- Open Safari.
- Select "Preferences" from the Safari dropdown.
- Navigate to the privacy tab.
- Uncheck "Block all cookies."
iOS Users
- Open the Settings App.
- Select "Apps" and navigate to Safari.
- Click "Advanced."
- Toggle off "Block All Cookies."
