What is Respondus LockDown Browser?
Respondus LockDown Browser is a custom web browser that locks down the testing environment when students take the exams/quizzes using Canvas. It can prevent students from printing, copying, going to an unauthorized URL, or accessing other applications during an exam/quiz.
TCNJ does not subscribe to Respondus Monitor, which uses the webcam to monitor the test taker.
Respondus Lockdown will appear in Canvas as a menu option for all courses. The menu item is only visible to instructors and will not impact your course. Feel free to disable it under Settings -> Navigation.
When taking a quiz that requires LockDown Browser, students will be presented with a link to download the application. It can also be downloaded here.
