What is Respondus LockDown Browser?
Respondus LockDown Browser is a custom web browser that locks down the testing environment when students take Canvas quizzes. It can prevent students from printing, copying, using an unauthorized URL, or accessing other applications during an exam or quiz.
TCNJ does not subscribe to Respondus Monitor, which uses the webcam to monitor the test taker.
Respondus Lockdown will appear in Canvas as a menu option for all courses. The menu item is only visible to instructors and will not impact your course. You can disable it under Settings -> Navigation.
When taking a quiz that requires LockDown Browser, students will be presented with a link to download the application.
