I exceeded the storage quota in Files, what do I do now?

PowerPoint files that contain images or other multimedia are a common cause of exceeding the storage quota in Canvas files. A single PowerPoint can often take up most of the storage quota, easily exceeding 200 mb. A file this large takes a long time to download.
To reduce a PowerPoint file size:
- Under the File menu in most versions of PowerPoint, there are options to compress the included media files. Refer to Microsoft's guidance on reducing the file size of your PowerPoint presentations.
- Share a link to the presentation through OneDrive and add it to Canvas as a link, rather than a file.
